So goodbye wintertime - the last spots of snow here in the mountains are melting and the sun shines bright and show the dead ground and weed and trees. But not for so long, new life will break through. Hello springtime!
This mix is not really made with spingtime in mind, because it lists my this months or my alltime faves.
Get a closer look to Sister Irene O' Connors christan "psych folk" tunes from 1976. It's awesome and ignite you with the fire of god :P. really! She started a preset drum maschine, played some guitar tunes and put a lot of echo on her voice to praise the lord. Check out the playlist link and at this point, thanks to WFMU / Jason Elbogen for diggin this great tunes. I hope more will come.
Shepherds are an free form incarnation of the mighty Woods, you know that? yes!
The Goner - Within a hour is one of the best tracks I've hear in the last weeks. Such a beautiful and a bit sad sounding song.
Fourth Way is an alltime fave too. I found it on some early/rare psych compilation somewhere. Sadly no information or more songs are popping up to the surface. So I enjoy just this trippy organ driven gem, and I hope you too.
Sorry for the fucked up rip of Revolutionary Army of Infant Jesus. Great track though.
