I discovered this yesterday and immediately fell in love with the cover artwork with this cute cartoon forest/camping landscape.
As lovely as the cover is the music. Finest Ambient with different noises like raindrops and different instruments just as the piano.
The first 4 songs of tents & hills, that includes songs already written and recorded in 2007/2008, are (among other great stuff) available as free download here.
ian hawgood is a resident of tokyo and london. he likes to record on reel-to-reel, four-track tape, field recorder and/or his computer. he enjoys using piano, pump organ, mellotron, vibraphone, rhodes, guitar, old tube amps and other mostly vintage equipment. he curates the home normal, tokyo droning and nomadic kids republic labels. he really loves tea, old video games, silent films, polaroid, holga, argus, low light and faded colours.
He seems to be a really nice guy :)
